LPA, northeast monsoon to bring rains in parts of PHL

(Eagle News)–The low pressure area off Virac, Catanduanes and a northeast monsoon will bring rains in parts of the country today.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Visayas, Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, and the province of Quezon, Marinduque and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the LPA last spotted 910 kilometers east of Virac.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with light rains as the northeast  monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.
