(Eagle News)-Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea has ordered Secretary Delfin Lorenzana to lead all relief efforts in the quake-stricken areas in Mindanao.
Medialdea said Lorenzana, as martial law administrator, shall also ensure the safety and security of the public there.
The public, he said, should directly coordinate with the Department of National Defense and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council for an efficient distribution of relief efforts.
On Thursday, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit Mindanao, two days after a 6.6-magnitude one hit the area.
Over 20 people have died in the two incidents so far, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said.
