Locsin: Deadline for recall of Canada trash is May 15; Duterte’s “expectation will be met or else,” DFA secretary says

(Eagle News)–The deadline for the recall of Canada’s trash is May 15.

This is according to Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin, who said on Tuesday, May 7, that President Rodrigo Duterte expects nothing less.

“The deadline is May 15. Period. I don’t give two f**ks what DOF (Department of Finance) says…The President expects the garbage to be seaborne by May 15,” Locsin said.

The secretary was responding to a DOF statement that Canada might need more time to do this.

But according to Locsin, Duterte’s “expectation will be met or else.”

Duterte has threatened to declare war on Canada if it did not recall the trash which continues to languish in Manila ports since it was shipped six years ago.

Canada had issued a statement saying it was willing to sit down and thresh out issues on the matter, but the Palace had slammed this as “vague,” saying the North American country should take back the trash “pronto.”
