Local absentee voting starts today

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Commission on Elections announced the start of the local absentee voting today, April 27 and will last until April 29, Friday. According to the COMELEC, the 25, 000 individuals approved can now vote before the May 9 elections. This includes government officials and employees, police and members of the armed forces as well as members of the media that are registered voters but cannot vote on the actual day of election due to the performance of their duties.

In the local absentee voting, the voter can only cast their ballots for the president, the vice-president, senators and party-list groups.
