(Eagle News) — Senator Panfilo Lacson on Tuesday, Dec. 11, called for a probe into Rep. Rolando Andaya’s allegations a single contractor had cornered 30 government projects worth billions of pesos even before Congress passed the 2019 budget.
In a Tweet, Lacson said Andaya’s allegations call for either an Ombudsman probe or a congressional inquiry.
On Monday, Dec. 11, Andaya said the contractor was CT Leoncio Construction and Trading owned by one Consolacion Tubuhan Leoncio.
According to Andaya, the firm, based in Bulacan, was a single proprietorship, not a registered corporation, and had managed to corner projects even in Sorsogon.
Andaya made the allegations after Lacson said there were “congressional insertions” in the House’s proposed budget for 2019 for certain districts–Andaya’s province of Camarines Sur and House Speaker Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s district in Pampanga.
“Expose pa more!…Thank God, I found an unlikely ‘ally’ in Cong Andaya,” Lacson said.
