Lacson: Advincula should present “solid, substantial” proof of his allegations

(Eagle News)–Senator Panfilo Lacson believes Peter Joemel Advincula should present “solid and substantial” evidence to back up his allegations against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and the Liberal Party.

In a statement, Lacson said this was because Advincula “suffers from a serious credibility problem that he must overcome if he wants to be believed this time.”

According to Lacson, the evidence can consist of proof of Advincula’s alleged meetings and regular communication with those he was now “turning the tables on.”

“As far as I am concerned, being a former law enforcer with quite good experience in intelligence and investigation, ‘Bikoy’ has to  show more than just a narration of what he says now (are) the real facts,” Lacson said.

In any case, Lacson said he would “rather leave it to the proper authorities to conduct the appropriate assessment of (Advincula’s) new revelations.”

Advincula, who surrendered to the police on Wednesday afternoon, said he was paid P500,000 for his role as “Bikoy” in the videos which accused President Rodrigo Duterte, members of his family and some of his allies of being engaged in the illegal drug trade.

He said the videos were made to discredit Duterte’s longtime aide Bong Go, who recently won a seat in the Senate in the May 13 polls.
