(Eagle News) — Suspected Eastern Visayas’ big time drug lord, Kerwin Espinosa, is back in the country and this time, no less than the Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa is making sure that he would not suffer the same fate as his father.

Now that his father is gone, Kerwin said he is willing to reveal what he knows, and give the names and details of the persons involved in the illegal drug trade as he admitted before the media in a press conference that he was indeed involved in illegal drugs in his region.

He observed that President Duterte is serious in stamping out illegal drugs, and wage war against illegal drug lords, which was the reason he fled.

Humihingi ako ng tawad kung ano man ang nagawa ko dati.  Itong sitwasyon na wala na ang papa ko, maaasahan niya (President Duterte) na ilalabas ko ang lahat,” he said.

The PNP chief also said Kerwin was “willing to tell all.”

“Sasabihin nya lahat kung sino and supplier nya, distributor niya, upline, downline, etc. Inamin naman niyang drug lord siya.” said PNP Chief Dela Rosa.

“Kerwin is like the missing piece in the puzzle, marami siyang mako-connect. He is willing to tell all,” he added.

But Kerwin decided to reveal those names in an affidavit which he would execute with the PNP, with the assistance of his lawyers. His brother is also with him in Camp Crame.

He said “no comment” when asked by media if he personally knew Senator Leila De Lima, saying he had already told what he knew to the PNP team who fetched him from Abu Dhabi, particularly Chief Supt. Albert Ferro, head of the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG).

Kerwin was presented to the media shortly after 5 a.m. in Camp Crame,  after arriving from Abu Dhabi where he went into hiding along with his family.

The young Espinosa also asked forgiveness from the public and from President Duterte for being involved in the illegal drugs business that has destroyed the lives of many youth.

He said he realized that the Duterte administration was really serious in the illegal drugs campaign, when he decided to help and reveal all that he knows, including the names of the politicians, police officials, and other protectors of his business, and those who benefited from it.

PNP chief Dela Rosa said they would cross-match the affidavit that Kerwin would execute, with the judicial affidavit and other statements given by his slain father, Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa.

Ico-cross-match natin yun. Ikukumpara,” Dela Rosa said.

He said they would give Kerwin the chance to renew his life.

Bibigyan natin siya ng pagkakataon na magbagong buhay” he said.

Dela Rosa said they would also study if Kerwin would be allowed to see the remains of his father one last time.

Hindi na ako kailangang kumbinsihin,” he said. “Alam ko ang pakiramdam na isang anak na namatayan ng ama. Maybe, we will consider that.”

Dela Rosa said he would make sure that Kerwin would be protected, and warned the drug syndicates and highly-placed drug protectors.

Subukan lang ninyong atakehin itong Camp Crame,” he said.

Kerwin and the PNP team who fetched him, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, shortly before 4 a.m. Kerwin and the PNP team were all wearing bullet proof vests when they arrived.
