“Kamah,” a suspect in Jolo, Sulu twin blasts, surrenders to authorities

Several others also yield

(Eagle News)–An Abu Sayyaf commander who was allegedly a suspect in the twin blasts in Jolo, Sulu that killed at least 21 people has surrendered to authorities.

Philippine National Police chief Oscar Albayalde said “Kamah” of the Abu Sayyaf’s Ajang Ajang group was accompanied by four other Abu Sayyaf members when they yielded to the police.

He said 14 suspects in the blasts remain at large.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has said “Kamah” was “really involved” in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel bombings, which were the “project” of Hatib Hadjan Sawadjaan, who he said replaced Isnilon Hapilon as the recognized leader of terrorists in the country.

Año said the local terrorists assisted an Indonesian couple in carrying out the suicide bombings.
