(Eagle News)–The Quezon City Regional Trial Court has convicted Reynaldo Parojinog Jr. of illegal drug possession.
Branch 79 meted out the penalty of life imprisonment and a P500,000 fine against Parojinog Jr., the son of Ozamiz Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog who was slain in last year’s shootout with police who were serving a search warrant at that time.
Apart from the then-mayor, slain were the mayor’s wife Susan and several others.
The younger Parojinog’s sister Nova, the Ozamiz vice mayor at that time, was arrested during the operation.
The elder Parojinog was on President Rodrigo Duterte’s narco-list.
