Duterte says Jason Aquino has asked he be allowed to step down as NFA administrator

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, Sept. 11, said National Food Authority Administrator Jason Aquino has “requested” that he be allowed to step down.

“He said he is tired,” Duterte revealed in his tête-à-tête with Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo.

According to Duterte, he would “scout for a new one.”

Duterte’s revelations came amid an alleged rice shortage in parts of the country.
