(Eagle News)–The Commission on Appointments’ Committee on Information and Communication Technology on Wednesday, Sept. 11, recommended the confirmation of Gringo Honasan’s ad interim appointment as Information and Communications secretary to the plenary.

No questions were asked to Honasan, who hurdled the CA panel in four minutes.

Asked how he felt his was the fastest approval by the panel so far, Honasan said “It doesn’t affect me.”

“Because the hard work is ahead of us,” he said.

Honasan, who was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte at the helm of the DICT,   was supposed to face the CA panel  in December 2018.

He was, however, bypassed after a joint session of Congress for the extension of martial law in Mindanao was called for. Based on a report from Meanne Corvera
