No tsunami threat to PHL, PHIVOLCS says

(Eagle News)–A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit the Kermadec Islands region in the South Pacific Ocean on Sunday, June 16, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The quake hit at 6:55 a.m.

Depth of focus was 10 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said there is no tsunami threat to the Philippines.
