(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Saturday, July 27.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 35 kilometers southeast of Itbayat at 11:19 a.m.
It was an aftershock of the 5.9-magnitude earthquake that hit the area earlier in the day.
An instrumental intensity II was felt in Basco.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
