Jaybee Sebastian and 3 other high-profile convicts hurt; one dead in Bilibid stabbing

MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Wednesday, September 28 confirmed the stabbing incident inside Building 14 of the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) resulting to the death of Chinese drug lord, inmate Tony Co.  Four other high-profile inmates, including Jaybee Sebastian, Peter Co, Vicente Sy and former Police Chief Inspector Clarence Dongail were also hurt.

The wounded inmates were rushed to the Medical Center Muntinlupa, while Vicente Sy was rushed to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa.

Aguirre said that the stabbing incident happened at around 7:40 a.m. when Peter, Tony and Sy were having a shabu session.

He said that the inmates were reprimanded by another inmate, former police major Dongail, who told them, “Huwag nyo gawin yan. Lahat tayo mapapasama.” But this irked Tony Co who allegedly attacked him with a knife.

Aguirre said that they still have no idea how Tony Co and the other inmates were able to sneak the shabu inside Building 14.

Building 14 houses high-profile inmates, including top drug lords.  It is supposedly heavily guarded by the members of PNP-Special Action Force.
