Expect less congestion on Edsa when the Taguig Integrated Terminal Exchange becomes operational in the first half of 2020.
This is according to government officials led by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade and Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, who led the groundbreaking ceremony of the P4-billion project under the Duterte administration’s Build, Build, Build program.
The project–which will rise inside a 5.6-hectare compound in FTI— is expected to have a six-storey building which will house a centralized ticketing area, and buses from Bicol, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Authorities said this would pave the way for the removal of bus terminals along Edsa.
The integrated terminal will house a walkway that will connect the FTI station of the Philippine National Railways and the proposed subway system.
The terminal will also be fully airconditioned.
Passengers will also have free wifi access, authorities said.
