(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte met with PhilHealth officials on Monday, June 10, following reports a dialysis center in Quezon City processed PhilHealth claims of deceased patients.
In a statement, Senator-elect Bong Go, who attended the meeting, said Duterte, who was “saddened and dismayed” by the incident, asked the officials to tender their courtesy resignations.
“Gusto ni Pangulo ng clean slate sa pamunuan ng PhilHealth…Sa ngayon, plantilla officials muna ang temporary na mamamalakad at maa-assign sila under the Office of the President,” Go said.
According to Go, the President also wants to know how it was possible for the “anomaly of fraudulent claims” to have persisted for the longest time under the PhilHealth administration.
” Inatasan ng Pangulo ang NBI na imbestigahan ito sa mabilisang panahon,” Go said.
