Imelda Aguilar wins second term as Las Piñas mayor

(Eagle News)—-The Aguilar-Villar tandem continues its hold over Las Piñas after winning electoral races at the city and congressional levels.

Imelda Aguilar  won a second term as mayor of Las Piñas, while her daughter April clinched the post of vice mayor.

Reelectionist senator Cynthia Villar’s daughter, Camille, on the other hand, is now the representative of the lone district of the city in the House of Representatives.

The Villars and the Aguilars have dominated Las Piñas politics since Manny Villar, Camille’s father and Cynthia’s husband, was elected as representative of the then-Las Piñas-Muntinlupa district in 1992.

Cynthia is also poised to win a seat in the Senate, with partial results showing her clinching the top spot so far.

Camille’s brother, Mark, is the Public Works secretary.
