HPG asks Congress: Require garages from Car Buyers

MANILA, Philippines, September 15 (Eagle News) — The Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) called for a ban on the buying of vehicles when the prospective buyers does not have or owning a garage or a slot in a parking area in order to ease the traffic in the business city district.

In a joint hearing of the Senate Committee on Economic Affairs and Committee on Public Works, HPG Director Senior Supt. Arnold Gunnacao recommended that there should be a law providing or prohibiting individuals from buying and purchasing vehicles without their respective garage or parking space.

The HPG Director also said that all streets should declare open for public use. (Eagle News Service)
