House party-list coalition takes in Cardema as member

(Eagle News)–A House party-list coalition has taken in former National Youth Commission chair Ronald Cardema as its member.

The Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc. accepted Cardema, thereby considering him a congressman, even if the Commission on Elections has yet to decide on whether to allow him to substitute for the nominees of the Duterte Youth partylist who have all withdrawn from the electoral race.

The Comelec on  Wednesday, May 22, declared the partylist had secured one seat in the 18th Congress.

Earlier, the Palace urged the Department of Justice to investigate reports Cardema had presided over a National Youth Commission meeting even after he was already deemed resigned from the post when he filed his substitution bid.

The Palace also urged the DOJ to look into reports Cardema used government resources to campaign in the recent polls.
