(Eagle News)–Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra has directed the National Bureau of Investigation to probe the killing of lawyer Anthony Trinidad.
Guevarra issued the order after President Rodrigo Duterte ordered a thorough probe into his death in Negros Oriental.
Trinidad was driving his car when he was ambushed by unidentified motorcycle-riding men in Guihulngan City last Tuesday.
His wife was injured.
The Palace has condemned the incident.
“We will prosecute these killers and ensure that they will face the appropriate punishment for such criminal act as we commit to deliver justice not just for the family of Atty. Trinidad but for the entire Filipino community,” Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo had said.
