(Eagle News)—-An ABSCBN personality has filed sexual harassment and libel charges against former and current executives.

Charged with sexual harassment by Gretchen Fullido  were former executive producer Cheryl Favila and segment producer Maricar Asprec.

The complaint was filed before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office.

“Fullido alleged that Favila and Asprec sent her text messages that were loaded with sexual innuendos, which amounted to requests for sexual favors,” lawyer Marvin Aceron said.

Fullido refused, after which the two allegedly made it difficult for her to work.

She said the cycle continued for three years.

Also charged with libel were ABS-CBN news executives Ces Drilon and Venancio Borromeo, and reporter Marie Lozano.

The three allegedly “besmirched (Fullido’s) reputation when they stated that she filed a similar sexual harassment complaint against Favila and Asprec with ABS-CBN management to leverage her employment status with ABS-CBN.”

According to Fullido, Drilon made her feel like she deserved to be harassed because she “was willing to wear a bikini with an inflatable pool with bubbles to shove up the ratings of TV Patrol.”

In a statement, ABSCBN said it does not condone such acts in the workplace.

It said, without naming names, that it acted promptly on a complaint filed by Fullido against a supervising producer and a segment producer for alleged sexual harassment in November last year.

It was apparently referring to Favila, who was dismissed for gross misconduct in July.

The sexual harassment case against her however was dismissed, Aceron said.

The media company said it acted based on the evidence presented.

“Now that she has filed charges with the Quezon City prosecutor’s office, we expect all parties to allow the legal process to take its course,” it added.
