Frontal system affects N. Luzon; scattered rainshowers expected in parts of PHL

(Eagle News)–Scattered rainshowers are expected in parts of the country on Monday, May 6, as a frontal system affects Northern Luzon.

Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to occasionally strong winds and moderate to occasionally rough coastal waters.

The eastern sections of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light winds and slight coastal waters.
