France condoles with PHL for lives lost during onslaught of “Ompong”

(Eagle News)–France extended its condolences to the Philippines for the lives lost during the onslaught of Typhoon “Ompong.”

France extended “its most sincere condolences to the families of the victims of Typhoon Mangkhut (Ompong), which killed dozens of persons in Northern Luzon, and injured and displaced many others” in a statement sent by the French Embassy in Manila.

According to France, “we stand ready to examine the assistance and aid they may need to face the consequences of this tragedy.”

At least 50 people were killed due to landslides, flooding, among others, caused by “Ompong.”
