“Falcon” now outside PAR; LPA seen to develop into tropical depression within 36 hours

(Eagle News)–Tropical Storm “Falcon” is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, but the low pressure area spotted near Ilocos Sur may develop into a tropical depression.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said as of 4 p.m., the center of  “Falcon” was estimated at 655 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes.

As of 3 p.m., the LPA was estimated at 310 kilometers west northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur outside PAR, and may develop into a tropical depression within 36 hours.

Today, moderate to at times heavy rains will be experienced over Ilocos Region, Zambales, and Bataan.

Light to moderate rains will be experienced over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, PAGASA said, noting that sea  travel is also risky over the seaboards of Luzon.
