(Eagle News)–Sacked Bureau of Corrections Director-General Nicanor Faeldon has “no hard feelings” for President Rodrigo Duterte.
This is according to his lawyer, Jose Diño, who accompanied the former Marine at the Senate where he attended the third hearing on the Good Conduct Time Allowance law on Thursday, Sept. 5.
Faeldon refused to speak to the media at that time.
“Ganun ang Marino. They follow orders. No hard feelings. Tinatanggap mo yun,” Diño said.
He noted that in the executive department, “pag nagsalita ang ama, ang mga anak ay ‘opo ama.'”
“We respectfully and most humbly bow to the will of the President that’s the final word,” Diño said.
President Duterte announced the sacking of Faeldon in a speech on Wednesday, Sept. 4, following the release of convicts of heinous crimes, including three convicted of the rape-slay of the Chiong sisters, and the near-release of former Calauan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez.
Sanchez was convicted of the rape and murder of University of the Philippines Los Baños student Eileen Sarmenta and her friend Allan Gomez in the 1990s.
