Faeldon: 3 others convicted in Sarmenta-Gomez slay have died in prison

(Eagle News)–Three others convicted for the rape and murder of Aileen Sarmenta and the murder of her friend Allan Gomez in 1993 are already deceased.

According to Bureau of Corrections Chief Nicanor Faeldon, who faced the Senate hearing the Good Conduct Time Allowance law on Monday, Sept. 2, George Medialdea, Rogelio Corcolon and Zoilo Ama died in prison.

Faeldon could not say, however, the cause of their deaths.

Apart from Medialdea, Corcolon and Ama,  former Calauan, Laguna Mayor Antonio Sanchez was convicted of the crime in the 1990s.
