Evidence, witnesses may lead to raps vs. De Lima- Aguirre

(Eagle News)– Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II on Thursday reiterated that his predecessor Senator Leila de Lima could face drug and graft charges if claims of her links to narcotics trade inside New Bilibid Prison (NBP)  found to be true.

Bank records and six witnesses would be presented by Department of Justice that would show De Lima’s involvement in NBP blunder.

“At the very least, siyempre (violation of the) Anti-Graft Corrupt Practices Act and of course iyong volation of Anti-Drugs (law ang puwede ikaso sa kaniya),” Aguirre explained.
When asked if dummy accounts were utilized, Aguirre answered “sinabi lang nila (witneses) na doon dineposit sa account na iyon.”
Prison guards, inmates, and De Lima’s “friends” would serve as DOJ’s witnesses on a forthcoming House probe regarding the matter.
