MANILA, Philippines, August 28, 11:10 AM (Eagle News) — Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero challenged Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to face the thousands of Iglesia Ni Cristo members in front of the Department of Justice to hear their demands.
Escudero said that de Lima should have prioritized and focused the DOJ’s attention to giving justice to the 44 soldiers of the PNP-SAF who were killed in the Mamasapano encounter last January.
The senator also said that de Lima should not have intervened in the internal issue of the INC.
He further explained that the usual procedure in the filing of cases had been by-passed by the Justice Secretary. (Eagle News Service)
