Enrile’s chief of staff returns to PHL to answer questions on pork barrel scam

MANILA, Philippines — Saying she was ready to answer the charges against her, the former chief of staff of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile flew back to the country Saturday morning (April 19) from San Francisco to face a complaint for plunder filed against her in connection with the P10 billion pork barrel scam.

Reyes, resigned as Enrile’s chief of staff in January 2013 after serving him for 25 years.

Enrile had earlier denied any role in the misuse of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) allocations.

He and senators Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada and Ramon Revilla face a complaint for plunder before the Office of the Ombudsman, together with Reyes and detained businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles.
