(Eagle News) — Philippine National Police’s Chief of Directorial Staff Guillermo Eleazar is now a police lieutenant general.
This was after President Rodrigo Duterte approved the recommendation of the chair of the Civil Service Commission, as recommended by the National Police Commission, for Eleazar’s promotion from major general.
The President gave his approval on Nov. 29.
Eleazar is among three recommended by the Department of the Interior and Local Government for the post of PNP chief.
At present, Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa is the PNP’s officer-in-charge. With a report from Earlo Bringas
