(Eagle News)–Senator JV Ejercito on Wednesday, May 22, accepted his defeat in the recently concluded elections, thanking his supporters for all their help.
“Kunin ko na ang pagkakataon magpasalamat sa Sambayanang Pilipino sa pagkakataon na ako ay nakapaglingkod bilang Senador ng ating bansa,” he said.
According to Ejercito, he “will be walking away from the Senate with my integrity intact.”
“Isang karangalan na kayo ay paglingkuran. Salamat po sa pagmamahal!” he said.
Ejercito landed in 13th place in the final Commission on Elections tally, with 14,313,727 votes.
Fellow re-electionist Senator Nancy Binay secured the last spot in the winning circle, with 14,504,936 votes, 191,209 more votes than Ejercito.
