Duterte warns ninja cops anew: I can be more evil than you

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday, Oct. 17, warned policemen engaged in illegal activities, saying he could be “more evil” than them.

“I still have two years, I can create hell for everybody. Very easy, you just [have to] be a bad boy. Mag walang hiya ka lang,” Duterte said in a speech before the Philippine Business Conference and Expo at the Manila Hotel.

Duterte issued the warning after he expressed disappointment over the ninja cops issue that prompted  Oscar Albayalde to step down as Philippine National Police chief.

Albayalde was accused of intervening in the status of the cases of 13 policemen behind an irregular drug raid in Mexico, Pampanga in 2013.

Retired Brigadier General Rudy Lacadin also told senators looking into the matter that Albayalde called him upon learning he was probing the raid and told him “onti lang napunta sa akin diyan.”

Albayalde has denied influencing anyone into doing anything.

He also questioned the timing of Lacadin’s allegations, adding he was never charged.

Albayalde was replaced by Lt. Gen. Archie Gamboa as officer-in-charge.

The Senate joint panel that probed the matter is expected to come out with its  report  today.
