(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, Aug. 26, skipped National Heroes Day rites at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Senator Bong Go, a former longtime aide of the President, did not give an explanation for the chief executive’s absence but said there was nothing to worry about.
“He is indisposed..Seventy-four years old na po si Pangulo at kailangan niya ring magpahinga…,” Go said.
Duterte was represented by Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano instead.
Last year, the President attended National Heroes Day rites at the Libingan.
The Palace has repeatedly given the assurance the President was in good health.
