Duterte offers P1.3-million bounty for capture of cop killers in Negros Oriental

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, July 22, offered a P1.3-million for the capture of those behind the deaths of four policemen in Negros Oriental recently.

Duterte made the announcement in an interview with reporters after his State of the Nation Address.

“Mas gusto kong patay sila. Kung patay sila, magdagdag pa ako ng 300. So it’s one million three hundred. Just bring me the head of that idiot leader there,” Duterte said.

Earlier, the Palace offered a P1-million bounty for the arrest of the suspects, believed to be members of the New People’s Army.

The police officers were on their way to check on reports of the presence of NPA rebels in Ayungon town when they were ambushed.

Duterte visited the wake of the killed policemen over the weekend, and conferred a posthumous award on them.
