Duterte not keen on suspending classes during SEA Games

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte is not keen on suspending classes for the  duration of the Southeast Asian Games.

“That is simply too long,” Duterte said.

The country will host  the international sporting event starting Nov. 30 up to Dec. 11.

Earlier, the Department of Education approved the suspension of classes in six public schools in Pasay, Pasig and Manila.

This was upon the request of the SEA Games organizers themselves.
