Duterte leads oath-taking of new appointees

(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday (September 12) led the oath-taking ceremony of 43 new appointees, including the new chair of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and Mindanao Development  Authority (MinDA).

Jose Jorge Corpuz is the new PCSO chairman. Corpuz served as the Director for Integrated Police Operations for Southern Luzon, and retired the post in 2015.

Datu Abul Khayr Alonto was appointed as the chairman of the MinDA.

University of the Philippines (UP) Professor J. Prospero de Vera III will serve as a commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education.
Other appointees who took oath are: Department of Transportation Spokesperson Cherie Mercado-Santos, Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) General Manager Thomas Orbos and Assistant General Manager Julia Catherine Nebrijia.
