(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, Sept. 11, said he has evidence to prove that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, Communist rebels and members of the political opposition were conniving to oust him from the presidency.

In a nationally televised tête-à-tête with Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, Duterte said he had already ordered the evidence–“the conversation provided by a foreign country sympathetic to us”–declassified.

He said the “connection” will be showed any day now.

“It might be a loose conspiracy but they are into it,” he said.

In a previous speech, Duterte already revealed the Liberal Party, Magdalo group led by Trillanes and Communist rebels were exerting concerted efforts to attempt to remove him from his post by October.

The opposition has denied this, calling Duterte a “paranoid.”
