(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte has declared May 13, Monday, a special nonworking holiday in the country.
Duterte made the declaration in Proclamation No. 719.
According to Duterte, the declaration was to allow the people to “properly exercise their right to vote.”
Candidates are vying for local and national posts in the upcoming elections.
