(Eagle News)–The Metro Rail Transit Line 7 is now 49.22 percent complete.
The Department of Transportation said so far, the required rolling stock of 108 cars have been completed, and are only awaiting shipment pending the availability of the holding area.
The agency said so far, the elevated guideway was under construction, while the “civil works of nine of the 14 stations are in full swing.”
“Trackworks installation (is) also ongoing,” the DOTr said.
The DOTr said the expected completion date is 2022.
The 22-kilometer MRT-7 is expected to connect Quezon City to San Jose Del Monte in Bulacan and shorten travel time to only 35 minutes from the two to three hours travel time.
