(Eagle News) — The Department of Tourism on Wednesday, Dec. 26, urged the public to maintain the cleanliness of tourist spots.
The DOT issued the statement after trucks of garbage were collected from Rizal Park, a popular tourist area for Filipinos and foreigners during the holidays.
“The (DOT) is pleased to note that many Filipinos continue to visit Rizal Park and its free facilities. However, we appeal to the public to maintain its cleanliness during and after their visit,” the tourism department said.
According to the DOT, everyone has the duty to ensure the streets were clean.
:While we continue our efforts to maintain the quality of our tourist sites, we look forward to your cooperation this coming New Year celebration,” it said.
