(Eagle News)–The family of Darwin Dormitorio on Wednesday, Nov. 6, filed administrative charges against the doctors who treated the Philippine Military Academy cadet for UTI before he died of what turned out to be internal injuries.
The family, who was represented by Dormitorio’s brother Dexter, filed the charges for gross negligence, immoral or dishonorable conduct and for violations of the Code of Ethics of Physicians and the accepted principles of the international code of ethics against Capt. Flor Apple Apostol, Major Maria Ofelia Beloy, Lt. Col. Cesar Almer Candelaria and Captain Allain Saa before the Professional Regulation Commission.
The charges were apart from the criminal charges filed against them over the death of Dormitorio, who was found to have been subjected to beatings by some of his upperclassmen in the PMA.
Dormitorio was hospitalized twice before he was found dead in his barracks in Fort del Pilar on Sept. 18.
