(Eagle News)–The Department of Labor and Employment has so far not received reports of Filipinos affected by the attacks on oil fields in Saudi Arabia.
This is according to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, who gave an interview over radio dzbb on Sunday, Sept. 22.
“Wala pang nakarating sa amin na report galing sa tatlong labor attaché namin—isa doon sa Jeddah, isa sa Riyadh at isa sa Dammam,” he said.
The Department of Foreign Affairs, for its part, denounced the attacks on civilians and non-military facilities in the Middle Eastern country.
The DFA said the drone strikes against Saudi Aramco facilities on Sept. 14 were “unjustified and deplorable.”
Saudi Arabia and the US blamed Iran for the attacks, but Iran has denied any involvement.
