DOH reports 9,373 additional COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases in the Philippines reached 812760 on Tuesday, April 6, after the Department of Health reported 9373 additional cases.

According to DOH data, of the total cases, 152562 were active.

Of these, 97.5 percent were mild, 1.1 percent asymptomatic, 0.5 percent were critical, 0.5 percent were severe, and 0.31 percent were moderate.

Recoveries rose to 646381 including the 313 additional ones.

Over 300, or 382, additional deaths pushed the death toll to 13817.

The Philippines is battling a surge in COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.

The Palace has re-imposed an enhanced community quarantine over the Greater Manila Area in a bid to curb the surge.

The one-week ECQ was supposed to end on April 4 but the Palace later extended it to at least one week.
