DOE: Luzon grid back to normal as of Tuesday, April 16

(Eagle News)–The Luzon grid is now back to its normal operations, the Department of Energy said on Tuesday, April 16.

According to the DOE, this means no power interruptions were expected.

It said the normal status of the grid was because of the “coming in of” Sual Unit 1.

In recent days, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines had been hoisting alerts over the grid due to, among others, unplanned outages of power plants.

The highest alert, a red alert that means a generation deficiency exists, was also hoisted over the grid during that period.
