DFA: Two Filipinos die due to COVID-19 abroad

(Eagle News)–Two Filipinos have died due to the coronavirus disease 2019 abroad, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.

According to the DFA, the deaths were reported in the Asia-Pacific Region and Europe.

Of the 169 Filipinos who were reported to have contracted the virus abroad, 111 were reported in the Asia-Pacific region, 18 in the Middle East, 20 in Europe and 20 in the Americas.

Some of those reported cases have to be verified by the Department of Health.

Of the total reported cases, 90 have recovered or have been discharged while 77 are still undergoing treatment.

Twenty-five countries and regions have reported cases of Filipinos with COVID-19, the DFA said.
