
(Eagle News)–The Department of Foreign Affairs has reported over 200 more COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos.
With the additional 213 cases, the COVID-19 tally among Filipinos abroad rose to 11082 as of October 12.
Recoveries also rose to 7136, including the 217 additional ones reported.
The death toll is at 80, with the addition of a fatality in the Middle East.
The Middle East and Africa still had the most COVID-19 cases among overseas Filipinos, recoveries and deaths–with 7347, 4524, and 520, respectively.
The Americas had the least cases and recoveries, with 810 and 416, respectively.
The Asia-Pacific region had the least deaths, with eight so far.
“The DFA, together with its foreign service posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” the DFA said.
