De Lima to police: Go after “rude loiterer” Duterte, not after alleged loiterers on streets

(Eagle News)–Senator Leila de Lima on Saturday, June 22, condemned the Philippine National Police’s operations against loiterers, saying they should go after the “rude loiterer” in Malacañang instead.

May bastos, palamura at tsismosong siga doon. Ang pangalan niya ay Rodrigo Roa Duterte,” she said.

According to De Lima, the operations against loiterers were “really wrong.”

She added the alleged loiterers who were “arrested” were nabbed without “clear guidelines.”

President Duterte ordered the police to intensify operations against loiterers to ensure the safety of the public.

But the Palace clarified they were only arrested if they violated laws.
