De Lima ex-aide Dayan back in Camp Crame

(Eagle News) — Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa on Thursday (December 1) revealed Senator Leila de Lima’s former driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan was back at the police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City. Dela Rosa said he did not know when Dayan arrived in Camp Crame.

“Andito, ewan ko kung kelan dumating. Gusto niya magpa-secure muna rito,” Dela Rosa said during a media briefing. “Andito lang sa loob na ng kampo. May mga kausap lang siya,” he added. On November 22, Dayan was apprehended in La Union. On the same day, Dayan was presented to the media by Dela Rosa.

Dayan was ordered arrested after he skipped the investigation of House of Representatives on the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison.

Dayan appeared to the House probe on November 24, where he admitted to receiving drug money for De Lima, and also revealed that the former justice secretary had advised him, through a text message, not to appear in the earlier House hearings. He was brought to a safehouse in Pangasinan after the probe. But was later transferred to a second safehouse in the province after police reported suspicious persons roaming around the first safehouse.
