(Eagle News)–The number of COVID-19 recoveries in the country rose to 693 on Wednesday, April 22, with the Department of Health reporting an increase to 6,710 in COVID-19 infections.
The DOH said the figures were after 39 new recoveries and 111 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed.
Of the 6710 COVID-19 cases overall, 446 have died, including the nine recent deaths, the DOH said.
The Palace has said the country has yet to flatten the COVID-19 curve.
But the DOH early this week said there were “improvements,” such as the lower “doubling time” of cases.
This means that COVID-19 cases now double for a longer period of time, from three days to five days.
The President is set to make his decision on the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine, which is expected to end on April 30.
