(Eagle News)—The construction of the Light Rail Transit 1 Cavite extension will start in April.
The Department of Transportation made the announcement in a Facebook post on Monday, March 4.
According to the DOTr, the 11.7-kilometer railway extension will link Baclaran to Bacoor.
The project, which will see the construction of an additional eight stations, is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.
With the completed extension, the LRT-1 is expected to service 300,000 to 800,000 passengers daily.
